Our kids have always loved the water. Matt grew up on lakes and when we visited Lake James and saw how beautiful and clean the water was, how little traffic Lake James receives, and the great hiking and fishing in the area, we fell in love with it!

As parents it was also important for us to be in a place with access to good organic groceries, shops & great restaurants for a nice evening out; Morganton/Marion offers all of this! We also have a few great vineyards & breweries providing excellent venues for drinks, live music, & dining.

Our hope is that we can share this experience with other families & you will also find your bliss at Lake James.
